The first Saturday class for the semester  was held on September 17, 2011
WEDNESDAYS in FALL, 2011 EVENINGS 7PM-8:30PM  STEP-BY-STEP CONVERSATIONAL CZECH LANGUAGE  10 lessons for $75 starting on September 14, 2011 and ending November 16, 2011 Minimum 6 students. This is a beginner’s class where you learn basic essentials.  You will learn phrases, counting, and an orientation to the Czech Language to better understand and partially translate that genealogical record, letter from relatives or friends, or historical record.  Please indicate upon registration if you wish to purchase the workbook utilized for this and other Wednesday sessions:
WEDNESDAYS in WINTER, 2012 EVENINGS 7PM-8:30PM “LET’S TALK  CZECH!” CZECH LANGUAGE 10 lessons for $75 starting on January 11, 2012 and ending March 14, 2012 Minimum 6 students. This class is for utilizing fundamental phrases, introductions, emergency directions at the train station, etc….real life situations.
WEDNESDAYS in LATE SPRING, 2012 EVENINGS 7PM-8:30PM SPECIAL SLET TRAVEL CLASS 6 lessons for $50 starting on May 16, 2012 and ending June 20, 2012 Minimum 6 students. This class is for travel to the Czech Republic.  Orientation to the country and travel plus phrases to use, festivals, special areas to visit, and lots more.  Sokols are traveling to Prague for the Slet the end of June into July are WELCOME!
All Wednesday Classes will reference and utilize Czech Express I set by Lida Hola which was used for 2010-11 school year.
SATURDAYS (Traditional Class) FALL thru WINTER, 2011-12 MORNINGS 9AM-11:30AM CZECH LANGUAGE 20 lessons for $125 starting on September 17, 2011and ending February 18, 2012 Minimum 10 students.  (This Czech Language course is for individuals able to understand/speak, but are beginners thru intermediate comprehension.  The class lessons are primarily are from the “communicative contemporary course” from the new textbook,  Czech Step by Step by Lida Hola 2008 edition preferable, accompanying workbook, flash cards and a CD available for review of pronunciation.  (This is a change from the book used in the last three years.)  Please indicate upon registration if you wish to purchase the set new because we will do a one-time order for you. The first half of the morning is devoted to the homework in the book or workbook or special assignments, while the second half covers special presentations done by students on culture, history, travel, etc. or learning the Czech national anthem and/or a special song (small electric piano available).
